The fine print

PrivacyPolicy.

Last updated: 13 October 2026

What you write is yours. This policy explains what LiaVerse stores, what it never does with your writing, and the choices you keep.

LiaVerse is a private space for your thoughts and moments. This policy explains what happens to what you write and the information created when LiaVerse helps you make sense of it.

Who we are.

01

LiaVerse is operated by EchoPulse LLC, a company registered in New Jersey, United States. EchoPulse LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, write to privacy@liaverseapp.com.

What LiaVerse keeps.

02

The moments you write or speak, and what the AI reads out of them: a mood, a few themes, an observation, the connections it finds between moments, and the threads and chapters those become.

For your account profile: an email address if you gave one, a display name if you chose one, and which plan you are on. If you sign in with Apple, LiaVerse receives your email address (or Apple's relay address if you chose to hide it) and does not ask for or keep your name. We do not ask you to provide your age, precise location, contacts, or phone identifiers as part of your profile. Other limited technical records exist alongside it, and this policy explains them below.

If you give a Gift Book a cover photo, that photo is kept too, in private storage associated with your account. LiaVerse receives the photo you choose for that purpose, not your whole photo library.

If you use LiaVerse without adding an email, your moments are stored with the rest of your LiaVerse content, the same as anybody else's. What is only on this phone is the way in: the anonymous account is reachable through a credential this device holds. If that credential is lost or you sign out, we may be unable to recover the account or its content, and LiaVerse will say so before you sign out. Adding an email makes the account recoverable.

Where it lives.

03

LiaVerse uses Supabase, a hosted database and storage provider, and the service is currently configured to store LiaVerse content on servers in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your content is not public or indexed and is protected by account-level access controls.

That is protection against outsiders, not end-to-end encryption. LiaVerse does not claim end-to-end encryption because the service and the AI features you request need to process your content.

The database is backed up automatically by our provider. A backup is taken once a day and the last seven days are kept, encrypted, so the service can be restored after a serious technical failure. They are used for recovery and not as a separate user-facing copy of your content.

Recovery means returning to a daily snapshot rather than to an exact moment. We do not currently run point-in-time recovery, so a serious failure could result in the loss of up to a day of recent writing. That is one reason it is worth periodically taking your own export from Settings.

What is sent to AI, and when.

04

Before the first moment is sent to AI, LiaVerse asks for your consent on a screen in the app and records that you gave it. You can turn AI reading off or on at any time in Settings. While it is off, new moments are saved and never sent to AI, and turning it back on does not send the moments written while it was off. Deleting your account withdraws consent entirely. Turning AI reading off does not delete what was already read or written: the moods, echoes, threads and chapters you have stay until you delete them, moment by moment or by deleting your account.

To read a moment, its text is sent to Anthropic's Claude, which returns the mood, themes and observation you see. To look for an echo, a short index of relevant past entries may be sent alongside the new one. To write a thread or chapter, the entries needed for that feature are sent so the writing comes from your actual words. A chapter is built from your own words. LiaVerse may change the tense or order of a sentence so it reads as a book, but it is designed not to add events, people, feelings or meaning you did not describe, and where it proposes a connecting line, the line is marked in the margin and is not added unless you accept it.

These requests go through LiaVerse's own server, which holds the API key. Under Anthropic's commercial terms applicable to our use, customer content is not used to train its models. Under Anthropic's standard commercial API terms, the text it receives and returns is generally deleted within thirty days, subject to exceptions for usage-policy enforcement, legal requirements, or different retention arrangements applicable to our account; that copy is separate from what LiaVerse stores in your account. LiaVerse does not intentionally send your writing to another AI provider for these features.

Paying for a plan.

05

Plans are bought through your Apple account. Apple takes the payment and holds your card details; LiaVerse does not receive your full payment-card details. To know which plan you are on, LiaVerse uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives the identifiers and purchase information needed to manage your entitlement and tells our server when a plan starts, renews, or ends. LiaVerse does not intentionally send your journal content to RevenueCat.

What stays on your phone.

06

Speech recognition happens on the device. LiaVerse does not upload or store your raw audio as part of creating a moment; only the transcribed text is sent. If on-device transcription is not available, the app does not send the raw audio to LiaVerse for transcription.

Your face or fingerprint stays with the device biometric system. If you lock LiaVerse with Face ID or Touch ID, the device tells LiaVerse whether authentication succeeded; LiaVerse does not receive your biometric template.

Draft text that you have not submitted remains on the device until you send it, subject to the normal operation and backup behavior of your device.

What LiaVerse counts.

07

LiaVerse records limited product events needed to operate, secure and understand the service. Today those are: which onboarding screens you saw and whether you completed or skipped onboarding, and which plan you said you preferred, each with a session id, the app version, the platform and your plan. We may add events of the same kind, such as that a moment was saved or a chapter was written. These product events are designed never to contain the text of your moments, observations, echoes, threads, chapters or quotes.

Successful AI requests are recorded in a content-free way for operations and cost monitoring: the type of request, the model, timing and token counts. If a chapter is not started because your plan's monthly writing allowance has been reached, LiaVerse records that refusal with the amounts involved and no content. Support-flow analytics are kept separately and record that the support experience was shown and whether a resource was tapped, together with the kind of concern noticed (yourself, another person, or violence) and which check noticed it. They are not linked to your account and do not contain the words that triggered them.

Account-linked product analytics, AI usage records and allowance refusals are kept for ninety days. Support-flow analytics are kept for thirty days. Scheduled deletion removes them from the live database. A copy may remain in an encrypted backup for up to seven additional days, after which the backup expires. Genuinely aggregated statistics that cannot reasonably be tied back to a person may remain.

What LiaVerse does not do.

08

LiaVerse does not sell your personal information or journal content, use your writing for advertising, or use third-party behavioural advertising SDKs to track you across apps or websites. We do not use an advertising identifier for LiaVerse.

Do not track.

09

LiaVerse does not perform cross-site, cross-app or advertising behavioural tracking. Because we do not perform that kind of tracking, browser Do Not Track signals do not change how LiaVerse handles your information.

Service providers and technical requests.

10

LiaVerse uses service providers to operate the app, including Supabase for database and storage, Anthropic for requested AI processing, RevenueCat for subscriptions, Expo for app-update services, and Apple or Google when you choose their sign-in services. Internet requests to these services may include ordinary network information such as an IP address, as is typical for online services. These providers receive information only for the functions they perform for LiaVerse, subject to their applicable terms and our agreements with them.

Safety flow.

11

If you write something that suggests you may be in danger, LiaVerse may quietly offer a way to reach a helpline. That happens on your screen. LiaVerse does not contact emergency services, law enforcement, family members, or anyone else on your behalf.

A moment may be marked to record that LiaVerse's safety flow was triggered. The mark does not contain the words that triggered it. LiaVerse uses the mark to control how that moment is used by certain features, including withholding some generated material and asking before the moment is used in a chapter. The mark stays with the moment until the moment is permanently deleted or the account is deleted.

Consumer health data.

12

Some information you write, and some information LiaVerse derives from it (a mood, a theme, a safety mark), may reveal or relate to physical or mental health. LiaVerse collects it only because you wrote it and only to provide the features you ask for, shares it only with the service providers named above for those functions, and never sells it or uses it for advertising. You can see it in the app, export it, and delete it, moment by moment or by deleting your account. For consumers covered by Washington State's My Health My Data Act, our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, linked from the home page of our website, sets out the categories we collect, why, who receives them, and how to exercise the rights that law provides.

Taking it with you.

13

LiaVerse provides an export feature in Settings so you can take a portable copy of your LiaVerse content. The export is intended to remain readable independently of LiaVerse. The exact contents and format of the export are described in the app when you create it.

Deleting it.

14

When you delete a moment it leaves your active content and waits in Recently Deleted for thirty days, where you can restore it. After thirty days it is permanently deleted from the live service. You can also permanently delete it sooner from that screen.

Settings includes a way to delete your account and the account data tied to it. The app identifies what will be removed and asks you to confirm. Account deletion removes your moments, threads, chapters, Gift Books and associated cover photos, the account itself, and account-linked analytics, AI usage and allowance records from the live service. This cannot be undone. Genuinely aggregated statistics that can no longer be tied back to you may remain.

Deleting your LiaVerse account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it in your Apple account settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions) before or after deleting, or Apple will keep charging you.

Deletion from the live service does not immediately rewrite backups that already exist. A copy may remain in an encrypted backup until that backup expires, currently up to seven days. Where applicable law requires us to notify processors or other recipients of a deletion request, we will do so.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar privacy rights.

15

Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, receive a portable copy of information, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

For people in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we process account and service information as needed to provide LiaVerse and perform our agreement with you; we may process limited operational information for our legitimate interests in securing, maintaining and improving the service; and, where applicable law requires consent for particular processing, including certain processing of sensitive information, we will ask for that consent before relying on it. You may withdraw consent at any time for future processing that relies on consent.

LiaVerse is operated from the United States and our providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Where applicable law restricts international transfers, we use a lawful transfer mechanism or other safeguard required by that law. We do not claim a particular transfer mechanism for a provider unless it is in place for our use of that provider.

For EEA and UK privacy requests, write to privacy@liaverseapp.com. We will respond without undue delay and ordinarily within one month, subject to any lawful extension or identity-verification process. If an EEA or UK representative is required for LiaVerse, its contact details will be made available in this policy and on our website before we rely on that representative arrangement.

Other privacy rights.

16

Residents of California, Washington and other places may have additional rights under local law. You can exercise applicable rights by using the controls available in Settings or by writing to privacy@liaverseapp.com. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

If LiaVerse changes hands.

17

If LiaVerse or the part of EchoPulse LLC that operates it is reorganized, acquired, merged, or transferred to another company, information needed to operate LiaVerse may transfer with the service. Any successor must handle that information under this policy and applicable law. We will provide notice, and obtain consent where required, if a transfer materially changes how your information is handled.

When the law asks.

18

We disclose content when compelled by valid legal process and only to the extent required. Where we are legally permitted to tell you first, we will.

Children.

19

LiaVerse is for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly keep LiaVerse content from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, write to us and we will investigate and remove the account where required.

Changes.

20

If this policy changes in a way that materially affects how we handle personal information, we will provide notice in the app or by another reasonable method before the new practice begins where applicable law requires it.

Asking.
